During her life the collection expanded to a number of over 600 dolls. On the basis of the collection, you can experience historical events of the 20th century as well as personal events in Juliana’s life.

There has been a long tradition at the court of Oranje-Nassau, to loan dolls for out to exhibitions with the proceeds going to charity. In 1934 she was patroness of a large international doll exhibition in Palace Kneuterdijk in The Hague, to which she lent part of her own collection as well.

The doll collection of Juliana is presented for the first time outside the Netherland in the Manufaktur der Träume.

This unique exhibition was realized in cooperation with the Veluws Museum Hagedoorns Plaats, the Hessisches Puppen- und Spielzeugmuseum and Landgoed Borg Verhildersum and kindly supported by the Mondriaan Fonds, Netherlands and Kulturraum Erzgebirge-Mittelsachsen.
